Verification Pin is used to remove any Hold from your adsense account and turn your account into Ready for Cash out.
If you reach the Adsense Payment Threshold, then you will see a Hold in your account. It is for reminding you to verify your account.
For that you have to apply for the Verification PIN. Google mainly sends PIN via Normal Post which can take upto 2 weeks to 6 weeks depending on your Postal Service.
If you didn't get you PIN for the 1st time then you can apply for another PIN after 1month or so on. You can apply for PIN maximum 3 times.
Still if you dint get your PIN after 3 attempts, then after applying 3rd time, a Link will be given to you where you have to submit a copy of identity card, bank information, telephone Bill, electric bill (any one) along with your Working Phone number.
If the information you submitted is correct then you don't need to put the PIN. The Hold from your account will be withdrawn. This thing Happened to me also.
NOTE: If you get your Previous PIN after requesting for Another, you can put the previous PIN. Because all three PINs that Adsense will send you is Same. So don't Worry.
